Browser Requirements

To operate correctly, VCU lessons require the following minimum browser specifications:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher
  • Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or higher
  • Google Chrome 3.0 or higher
  • Apple Safari 4.0 or higher

Cookies

VC University uses "cookie" files. These files, created by our web servers, contain data to identify and track your progress. If you disable or choose not to accept cookies, you will not be able to take the course, and we will not be able to personalize your user-exeperience.

To enable cookies in Internet Explorer, go to the top menu bar and scroll down the "Tools" menu to choose "Internet Options". Click the "Security" tab, and make sure "Internet" is set to medium security level. This will, by default, enable cookies.

Streaming Video

The streaming video contained in the VC University utilizes Adobe Flash or RealPlayer to play-back video footage.

Minimum system requirements:

  • A Pentium PC, UNIX system, or MAC equivalent.
  • A sound card with speakers or headphones
  • A broadband Internet connection
