Patent Reform and Legislative Changes on the Horizon: H.R. 2795 "The Patent Act of 2005"
John T. Johnson, Principal, Fish & Richardson P.C.

The next two years promise to bring major legislative changes to the U.S. patent system not seen in the past 50 years. This talk details how proposed legislation addresses widespread concern over abusive patent practices, growing backlash against "patent trolls," and skyrocketing costs of patent litigation. From changes to injunction standards, to third-party participation in prosecution and damages limitation, this talk explores the effects and prospects of recent patent reform efforts.
