Jesse E. Reyes, Vice President, Director of Global Research, Thomson Venture Economics
Mr. Reyes joined Venture Economics in 1989 as research manager and later became product manager of Venture Economics' Investor Services performance and portfolio analytics products. Promoted to director in 1993, he is the chief architect of the Venture Economics Investment Benchmark Reports on private equity performance and has been the editor of every edition since their inception in 1990. In addition, Mr. Reyes is the primary visionary and product manager of the Venture Economics VentureXpert web product which is the most comprehensive source of private equity data available. His background includes an M.B.A. in finance and statistics from Texas Tech University as well as graduate studies in the department of economics at Harvard University.

William J. Thomas, Senior Partner, Princeton Office, Hale and Dorr LLP
William Thomas joined Hale and Dorr in 2001. His practice concentrates on emerging growth and high technology businesses, including general corporate issues, securities law compliance, venture capital, underwriting, strategic alliances and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Thomas is counsel to the board of directors of several public clients. Mr. Thomas has written various articles for Technology Times and Tech News, including "IPO Participation Rights Could Be Wrong" in the December 2000 issue of Technology Times. Mr. Thomas received a J. D. degree from Fordham University School of Law where he was an associate editor of the Law Review. He holds a B. A. degree in Political Science from Rutgers University where he graduated with highest honors.

Murray Alter, Tax Partner, New York Office, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
Murray Alter is the National Tax Leader of the Venture Capital Practice. His clients include venture capital firms, SBIC's, venture backed companies, and Technology companies of all kinds. Murray was on The Editorial Board of Faulkner & Gray's "The Journal of S Corporation Taxation" and has edited two Matthew Bender texts on S Corporation and Partnership taxation. He also reviewed McGraw-Hill/Shepard's reference volume "Business Dictionary of Tax Terms". He has been quoted in Crain's, Wall Street Journal, Boardroom Reports, Inc. magazine and numerous trade publications, as well as having appeared on CNBC, CNN , CBS MarketWatch and NBC Nightly News. Murray has over 28 years of experience. He received his B.S. (Accounting) from Brooklyn College and has an M.B.A. (Tax) from L.I.U., both with Honors. He is a NYS Certified Public Accountant, a member of the NYSSCPA's, AICPA, and the American Electronic Association. He is also a Charter Member of the New York New Media Association and the NY Software Industry Association which recently gave him a Public Service Award for his lobbying efforts for tax incentives and tax reductions from NYS.
