James Geshwiler, Managing Director, Common Angels
James Geshwiler oversees Common Angels' deal flow, due diligence and investment process. He also manages the group's strategic direction and works closely with follow-on investors. James brings a decade of experience in analyzing and negotiating high-risk technology projects. He was Phi Beta Kappa and holds a bachelor's degree with highest honors from the Liberal Arts Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree in political science from UCLA, and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management. When not working with startups, James often can be found rowing on the Charles River.

Michael Duran, Managing Director, Gerson Lehrman Group.
Michael Duran manages the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Research group of Gerson Lehrman Group, an independent equity research firm. Previously, Mr. Duran was a Partner at Apax Partners, a global private equity firm with $11 billion under management, where he focused on early-stage technology investing. He has also served as Vice President of Equity Research at Lazard where he covered Cisco Systems and other data networking companies. Mr. Duran has prior technology industry experience at Salomon Brothers and AT&T Bell Laboratories. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MSEE degree from Carnegie-Mellon University and a BSEE degree from the University of Washington.

Patrick J. Rondeau, Senior Partner, Hale and Dorr LLP
Mr. Rondeau is Vice Chair of Hale and Dorr’s Corporate Department. His practice concentrates on public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital work and general corporate and securities work. Among the issuers Mr. Rondeau has represented in public offerings are American Superconductor, Applix, ArrowPoint Communications, IDEXX Laboratories, Iomega, Parametric Technology, Saucony, SkillSoft, Softdesk, Spyglass and Staples. Underwriters which Mr. Rondeau has represented include Banc of America Securities, Goldman Sachs, CS First Boston, Robertson Stephens and Thomas Weisel Partners. Mr. Rondeau represents firms such as Charles River Ventures, Greylock, Matrix and North Bridge. Mr. Rondeau is a 1981 summa cum laude graduate of Williams College and a 1984 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School. He joined Hale and Dorr in 1984 and has been a senior partner since 1992.
